Japan, the home of kawaii culture, certainly knows how to do cute, and Enkoji Temple is no exception. Although the Zen temple was founded centuries ago, such statues are evidently much more modern creations, perhaps with the intent of attracting tourists looking for a pretty picture. I have to say, they certainly do the trick!
