The Bandai-Azuma Skyline winds through the mountains. There are several places to stop and take in the breathtaking scenery. Here, you can see the mountains encircling the north end of Lake Inawashiro.
On the way to the caldera at Mt. Azuma-Kofuji, I drove through some idyllic farmland.
I was pleasantly surprised by how colorful the station area is, particularly the liveries on the taxis. Koriyama makes Kyoto look a little dull in that regard.
